Beta Xi History
In February of 1949 a group of Georgia Tech Phi Taus (Alpha Rho Chapter) and Athens area Phi Tau alumni gathered to plan the organization of a Phi Kappa Tau colony at the University of Georgia. By the fall of 1949, the colony was established and on March 10, 1950 a 30 man chapter was established.

Chapter Installation Ceremony.

Over the years Phi Tau has occupied three different houses. This was our first house and it is located on Hill St. just off N. Milledge Ave.
This was our second house and it is located on Wilcox and Cloverhurst Terrace (behind the ZTA house). Phi Taus resided here from the late 50's through early 1967.
This is our present house which we have occupied since 1967. The house served as a private residence until the fifties, when it was occupied by a sorority and then a church.
